Love as always.

Fashion. I love Fashion, I love clothes, I love shoes, I love bags, I love jewellery... I'm a girl I hear you saying. It is a very vilain stereotype I want to say. But this is not today's debate. Today is about one of my favorite piece of clothing. Pyjamas. Yes. I am a fashionista in pyjamas. But not every kind of pj's (yes, if you are really into them, you can call them pj's). I like them big. Preferably for men. And with check. Very British. This is a funny thing, as a french girl, every boring piece of britannique clothe sounds terribly exotic and attractive to me. I like the idea that they are a simple accessory, universal and comfortable, very down to earth. I kind of understand now why Coco Chanel loved English Jersey... Can you imagine that the British have a name for the entire range of clothes that goes around the pyjamas? Yes, it's called loungewear. How amazing is that? It is just so right! There are clothes that you wear in your lounge. For instance, I, right now, am in my lounge wearing my pyjamas. They are British, red and blue with a check pattern. I remember, when I moved into the country, they were my fashion obsession. I found them so classy. And I remember also when I found this amazing independent little shop in Covent Garden, full of nice pattern and old woody furnitures. I was so excited. I've found it! Finally! My first favourite shop in London! I'm so cool, this is my French flair for chinerie that guided me here. I'm so cool. I felt also very cool when I bought my friend a present for Christmas from this shop, thinking, yeah, this is underground outfitter. I have the feeling you want to know what is this amazing shop hidden in the little streets Covent Garden. I'm so cool, I give it to you. Jack Wills. Yes. My friend laughed too.
England is quite famous for its numerous funny university traditions. Societies, book clubs, bar crawl and FANCY DRESS PARTY!! The last one named is actually one of my favourite to watch. I remember my first year in the country encountering few drunk fairies and tipsy golf players, but this year, as a bartender on campus, I've reach an all new level. There are many recurrent themes: famous people, heroes and vilains, anything but clothes. But a major theme always comes back, mostly for the ladies: the sluttier, the better. Dressing up is actually the best excuse to dress off. Slutty Marilyn, slutty Catwoman, slutty girl in a plastic bag. Rule number one : do show your belly. Rule number 2 : do show your butt. Rule number 3: do show your legs. Rule number 4 : do not be shy, it's just a fancy dress. Yes, because this is the point, you are not slutty, you just pretend to be. Oh dear god, what have I done with my youth. I have missed a whole universe of non-guilt teasing. Damn you France.
